About this scale

The SAS-SV is a 10-item short form developed by Korean researchers for adolescents, and it is also widely used with adults. The authors gave separate cut-offs by sex (31 for boys, 33 for girls). We don't ask about sex, so we use the lower cut-off of 31 for everyone and err on the side of flagging. It is a screening tool, not a diagnosis; a high score means your phone habits are worth a closer look.
